Tropical Storm the storm Gains Power While Barrels Towards Jamaica

Cyclone Melissa is projected to strengthen into a infrequent Category 5 hurricane as it turns toward the Caribbean island, delivering dangerous sudden floods and rock falls.

The cyclone, which had winds of up to 120 miles per hour as of 6:00 AM GMT, is currently turning northwest in the Caribbean region and is anticipated to hit the coast by midweek, based on data from hurricane specialists.
